Jethro Tull formed in 1967 and in one form or another have remained active figures in progressive rock producing 21 studio albums to date and selling over 60 million records in the decades since their formation. Aqualung was originally released in 1971 the central theme of which is the relationship between religion and God and has since been considered by many to be their strongest work something that it's position as Jethro Tull's best selling album seems to confirm this.
