Hello everyone, i was wondering if anyone could please help me out with a parking ticket my mate got the other day. He left hid car over night which is free, but didn't even see the metre, and obviously did not have a ticket during the day. Has anyone got any ideas on how to get away without paying or template letters or anything? Cheers

my only advice would be to appeal whatever you do, as its always worth a shot. i never used to, but my friend told me about all the times he has got away with it. even if they reject, you get another 14 days to ay the reduced fine, so worst case scenareo you get extra time to pay...
a lot of it depends on the area ie. brighton are pretty good at letting you off whereas some london boroughs are really harsh. there is info on how to appeal a ticket here brighton-hove (dot) gov (dot) uk/index (dot) cfm?request=c1125421 and there is loads of other info about loading/unloading etc - for example it might be worthsaying that you were loading a sofa or omething from your friends house accross the road, and when you got back to your car you had a ticket... good luck... |
