A gambler has broken records by claiming the largest amount won from a British bookmaker after winning more than £2m on an online fruit machine.

The winner, a 49-year-old computer engineer from Portsmouth won his £2,086,585 prize using a free bet on the Coral MegaJackpots Cluedo game.

The prize had been rolling over for a year when the winner, who asked to remain anonymous, matched five symbols.
