It certainly is getting worse worldwide.
It seems nothing can stop the collapse of Capitalism.

You should get out there with your "The End of the World is Nigh" placard.![]()
Interestingly they have now officially used the R word so note to Brown it is no longer a downturn with a predicted 2% contradiction in the economy.
Recessions have come and gone before and this one will do the same. At least the BoE seems to think it will hit its inflation target for the first time though through none of its own doing.
About the same as it is today but hopefully the mini-skirt will be in fashion again.
Talk of the death of Capitalism is just rubbish. All that will happen is some companies will make a bit more profit and others will make a bit less, and well that is what capitalism is really.

I'm making one right now.![]()
Did you read the link? "The worst banking crisis since the first world war"
I do think a bit of Capitalism is needed, but not to the extent we have had.
I do think the world can survive without Capitalism and I do not believe it's because of Capitalism, that we survive. I think Capitalism is just another belief system like religion and we can live without that too imo.
There must be many systems untried yet.
and we are one of the most worst placed economies to deal with it.... thank you Gordon![]()
Is there any way on this planet that Tory supporters could possibly look at the whole picture at what is going on in the world right now?
Is there any way that Tory supporters could stop repeating the same words over and over again like parrots?
Is there any way that Tory supporters could look at a world wide issue and consider that something has happened that is so unusual it could change the lives of every human being on the planet without thinking of their own selves and their own political agenda for once?
Is there any way just one Tory supporter can actually put their political opinions aside and try and have an opinion outside their own circle of thought which might give a thought to the fact that the whole world is going into a recession and that there needs to be solutions and idea's discussed whereby people could have an open discussion on the matter?
I was wondering when the Labour supporters would stop just repeating whatever the Labour party says.
Has it occured to you that some of us have actually looked at why the current credit occured. (poor regulation, a credit boom the then BoE Chairman admitted they created over reliance wholesale money markets to finance loans, increased prices and lowering disposable incomes, increased taxation putting a squeeze on borrowers).
Has it occured to you that Tory supporters noticed that unemployment went up for 9 months running a whole year before the credit crunch.
Has it occurred to you that we noticed how the FTSE has under performing while Gordon Brown was chancellor.
Has it occured to you that while the 'official' unemployment figures went down the number of economically inactive was going up.
We have noticed these things, but we are not going to just assume that anything said by the government is the gospel truth and will look at what lies behind government rhetoric.
why are people so worried about this? inflation at 1% is a good thing, particuarly for savers!
Its why which is the problem, that demand has dropped off a cliff.
