Lisbon Treaty set to be ratified

Great news

I'm so glad that all the EU member states have ratified the Lisbon Treaty since the Tories in the UK were only going to hold a referendum should one of the other countries rejected it. We all know that the British public would have voted against it, so it's great news that all the other member states have given it the green light.

Whilst I don't agree with the protectionist market principles of the EU, I do like the political integration. It was looking to be dark days for Europe when Ireland rejected the treaty, but now things are moving along nicely
