I only heard about this a few weeks ago. Ive only seen random episodes of the original on the old analogue days of UK Gold, but ive never properly watched this show. If it gets re-dome, I might watch the original in time for the re-boot.

I can't help thinking they all got it wrong in that link above. Surely Orac was the 7th member not Zen (who was really just the voice of Liberator).

Gan certainly was one of the 7 and (along with Villa) the one I most liked, I shed tears when he died. Servalan was such an evil cow I could never have been attracted to her in the way so many seem to have been.

Here's hoping they get this new series right and don't stuff it up. I'd like to see them show another band of rebels a generation later who are inspired by the original 7 rather than recasting and remaking. As for showing us how they got together, that was the whole story of the first few episodes so that doesn't need to be told again. This format would allow any orginal cast members to appear as their original characters (assuming any survived the blood bath) without problems.

As far as I'm aware, the only thing that's happened so far with this 'revival' is that Sky has ordered two scripts to be written.

There's nothing else beyond that at the moment, to my knowledge.

However, it would be LOVELY to see it again. However, how they can possibly do anything that could match Jacqueline Pearce as Servalan is beyond me. You can't top perfection.
