I think that the xfactor needs to be reconstructed.
No more pushing the contestants to talk about terrible things that have happened to them, unless it's completly necessery.
No more hidious clothing, and hairstyles.
No more dreadful songs. That no one wants to hear.
Only two themed nights per series. Including christmas songs.
The judges should be more honest, about their own acts.
And don't let the contestants keep saying that they are really nervous about their performence. Or that they could be going home. tonight. I heard the same story, 9 times last week.
We know that you don't want to go home. Otherwise you wouldn't be there in the first place. Duh.
Video diaries are fine. Just for them to talk about themselves. Discuss about themselves, without being told what to say.
A lot of these people, lets be honest, aren't really talented - they've just spent a long time singing.
If they brought in new acts - maybe then. I mean acts who really have talent and have the ability to learn.
For e.g. We're always getting excuses on the show that an act needs more time. This is a music competition - if you need more time to be musical, then you don't have musical talent.
Doesn't matter how much you change it around.
The public always screw it up anyway by voting for the underdog, whether they can sing or not is irrelevant.
In my opinion, the X Factor needs to give the voting public full control - like American Idol.
The reason I get bored with this show is because it is so obvious that they have only chosen a few good acts (i.e. someone who they'd like to work with) and the rest are 'space fillers'.
If when auditions where taking place, Simon and co chose the BEST acts that come in front of them (rather than a few talented individuals and the rest medioca but tear-shedding sob stories), then they would not mind the voters having the final say and Simon and Co would not have to worry about being left with a dud because ALL the singers where talented in the first instance. What we're left with instead is in-house fighting between Louis and Simon and Louis getting rid of Simons acts just because he's not keen on Simon - even to the extent of keeping the biggest sob story of all there, Daniel, in order to rub Simon up the wrong way and then complain the following week that he shouldn't even be there because he can't sing....
Let the public choose - until they do it this way, I wont be voting because it's a rip off.
