Men who stare at goats

I went to my local cineworld last night and saw 'Men who stare at goats'. It was meant to be pretty good according to my housemate, but I didn't think it was enjoyable. I was wondering if any other forum members had seen it, and what they thought of it because I think I might be missing something?

The book on which it based is sensational - but I really can't imagine how it would translate to the big screen, because it doesn't really have a linear story... it's more of a documentary kind of format. I can only imagine they've tried to corral and compress the thrust of the book into some kind of narrative and it hasn't come off

Yeah my colleague said the book was good, although having seen the film I'm not enthusiastic about reading it now.
