Credit card spending 'planned for 2008' - 10/01/2008

The cost of Christmas and new year festivities may have been expensive for some, new research from Post Office suggests.

A survey by the company has found that some one in four credit card holders plan to spend the early part of 2008 more dependent on this method of financial provision than last year.

Half of the respondents plan to use credit for spending in the January sales, while 28 per cent want to make bigger purchases, such as holidays, using plastic.

In addition, more than four in ten people plan to rely on credit to pay for everyday living costs, the research discovered.

However, some may find that doing a bit of online investigation can lead to discounts and special offers which can be used when shopping to save money, as can delving through the sales to find some great bargains.
