Fans of Japanese food can now take advantage of promotional codes on offer from YO! Sushi.

The restaurant's website is giving customers the chance to participate in its £500,000 January Sushi Giveaway, which entitles the voucher codes recipient to a half-price meal.

By filling in a short questionnaire, would-be sushi eaters are then sent a promotional money-saving email with which they can cut their food bill by 50 per cent.

The short survey asks for basic personal data, favourite YO! Sushi outlet and how many times per year the reader visits the restaurant.

For those unfamiliar with the eatery's concept, it involves freshly-prepared and seasonal dishes which rotate around the dining area on conveyor belts.

Customers simply pick any meal they like the look of and each plate is colour-coded to display how much it will cost.

It is described by the company as "nutritious, delicious food instantly" and the smaller portions allow eaters to choose how many dishes they would like.

Up to 100 different meals are on offer, including sashimi, maki rolls and chicken curry.
