Shoppers make Leon and Leona Xmas #1 - 24/12/2007

Shoppers wanting to dance through the Christmas party season have chosen Leon Jackson and Leona Lewis as this year's festive number ones.

Yesterday saw Leon's rendition of When You Believe hit the top spot, following his surprise X Factor win last weekend.

It debuted at number one and knocked Eva Cassidy and Katie Melua into second place, while Leona Lewis' sophomore effort, Bleeding Love, sat in third place.

However, Radio 1's official UK chart saw Leona's first album, entitled Spirit, spend its sixth week at the top of the chart, giving X Factor a double-win for its current and previous winners.

And while most shoppers might still be looking for Christmas gifts, music and DVD items can often be grabbed for bargain prices in January sales.

HMV's website currently offers some great savings, such as The Bourne Ultimatum on DVD which has been reduced from £19.99 to £11.99.

Customers can also save £5 on the six-DVD Rocky boxset and £8 on The Simpsons Movie.
