Age of Conan has proved to be an international hit with PC gamers, according to its developer Funcom.
The 18-rated massively multiplayer online (MMO) role playing game is currently only number two on the Amazon bestseller chart, but has hit top spot in many other places.
It has enjoyed a spell at number one in the UK's PC games chart and achieved the same status in Germany, Sweden, Norway, Spain, Italy and Australia.
Unsurprisingly, Funcom's vice president of sales and marketing Morten Larssen is thrilled by the game's success.
"The current momentum and sales are simply awe-inspiring, and it's great that so many gamers and retailers are helping us to make Age of Conan the MMO sensation of the year," said Mr Larssen.
Age of Conan's march to the top has not been entirely controversy free, however, as Funcom has had to apologise to customers following complaints that developers reduced the size of some female characters' breasts.
