Women who cannot quite pull off the skinny jeans look may be relieved to hear that baggy 70s-style trousers are back in fashion.
Flared jeans have been seen all over the catwalks in designers' autumn/winter collections and celebrities seen sporting the more flattering look include Claudia Schiffer, Kylie Minogue and Victoria Beckham.
Ms Schiffer was spotted wearing a pair as she walked her son to school. Kylie chose a pair as she did some sightseeing before her concert in Paris and Victoria Beckham opted for flares in London this week at the start of a four-day business trip.
This new look is a marked contrast to skinny jeans which have been popular for several years now, particularly among super-slim celebrities like Kate Moss and Amy Winehouse.
So, for women who thought they would never see the back of the skin-tight look, the message seems to be throw away your skinnies and bag a pair of baggies.
