A new $1,000 (£512) iPhone application that does "bugger all" is being sold as a techno-emblem for the rich.
The 'I am rich' application allows iPhone users with money to burn to display a red icon on their mobile phone so they don't forget that they have money in the bank.
Dubbed as a work of art with no hidden function at all the 'I am rich' program is available through the iTunes Store.
Creator of the application Armin Heinrich said: "The red icon on your iPhone or iPod touch always reminds you (and others when you show it to them) that you were able to afford this."
When users touch the icon they are treated to a mantra helping them to "stay rich, healthy and successful".
Anyone can submit an application to be hosted on Apple's website.
Other notable iPhone applications include a guitar tuner, a button holding game - where you see how long you can hold the button for - and Mobile Flickr.
