Dell is expected to announce the launch date of its latest netbook to rival the Asus Eee 901 tomorrow, according to a tech-new website.
The Dell Inspiron Mini 9 was first spotted in May this year, reports Gizmodo.com, and is expected to retail for between £200 and £300.
Inside the shell of Dell's latest diminutive notebooks will be an 80GB hard disk drive and Intel's Atom processor.
And, there is a possibility that the Mini 9 will also sport a 16GB solid state drive.
Dell's mini-notebook is expected to come with a choice of either Microsoft's Windows XP or a version of Ubuntu an open-source operating system based on Linux.
Other features included on the laptop include a webcam, a card reader and three USB ports.
Dell has seen its quarterly profits drop by 17 per cent as it drops prices to increase its market share, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.
