Canon has updated its EOS 5D digital single reflex camera (SLR).
It is three-year old 5D will be replaced by the Canon EOS 5D Mark II.
The new digital SLR will also incorporate the capability to record full high-definition video and will come packaged with a 24-105-millimetre lens.
Canon's new 5D will use Digic 4 image processing technology, allowing photographers to shoot 3.9 full-resolution (1920 x 1,080 pixels) per second.
It sports a 21.1-megapixel full-frame sensor, which is the same size as a 35mm film frame - and more than twice the size of an average digital SLR camera sensor.
Canon's EOS 5D can also record full 16:9 high-definition video at 30 frames per second.
The digital camera manufacturer has also unveiled two new cameras in its PowerShot range.
Its 10-megapixel SX10 IS and the 14.7-megapixel G10 will cost £200 and £250 respectively, and will go on sale in October, according to techradar.com.
