Web-based travel firm Expedia is currently offering 40 per cent off selected US hotels.
The company stated that the new deal includes some exclusive rates from US Airways to a number of the world's favourite travel destinations.
"From the bright lights of Las Vegas to the city that never sleeps New York, you can take advantage of the great exchange rate and bag yourself a bargain of a lifetime," it commented.
In April, the Post Office revealed that the US had overtaken the eurozone resorts to become the seventh cheapest destination in its Holiday Costs Barometer.
Due to the depreciation of the pound against the euro, long haul breaks to popular summer hotspots like Florida or California can offer better value for money, the firm claimed.
A bottle of Coca-Cola can cost £1.60 in Florida while holidaymakers could pay out £2.94 for the same product in France, it reported.
