Bargain code hunters with more money than sense may be interested to hear that a Japanese firm has released a gold keyboard allowing online shoppers to add bling to their desktop PCs.
The Kirameki Pure Gold Keyboard is coated with 100 per cent gold leaf by Wazakura Studios famous for its gold leaf art.
According Kirameki the keyboard, which costs £191, is "not just a stunning object of worship" and has a base with adjustable height and two USB ports.
The company added said: "While gold leaf has a long artisan tradition in Japan, the craftsmen behind this glittering computer accessory have updated their technique for the rigueur of daily use, meaning the Pure Gold Keyboard is as durable as it is enviable."
According to Tokyo business news and culture website Akiba Today, a computer firm called Antec has released a £244 computer case coated in gold leaf a perfect partner for Kirameki's keyboard.
