Shoppers who pre-order Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 from HMV stores will be able to access extra content when the game is released, it has emerged.
According to video gaming website MCV, pre-ordered versions the game - which is available for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 - will include unlocking codes so players can access two additional guns.
An HMV spokesman said Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 is an "awesome sequel" and is expected to achieve strong sales thanks to high game quality and a "strong marketing plot", the news source claimed.
"This type of offer allows us to give something back to the hardcore fans who made the game such a success in the first place."
According to VideoGamer.com, a comparison between the Xbox 360 versions of the original game and the sequel has found that the characters' faces and textures in the surrounding environment are "much improved" in the new game and suggested the graphics look particularly good when played on a high-definition TV.
