Retail giant John Lewis has kicked off its latest fashion season with an advertising campaign that harnesses the good looks of celebrities.
The company is hoping that by deploying St Trinian's star Antonia Bernath and others will do for John Lewis what Kate Moss and Myleene Klass did for Topshop and M&S.
John Lewis said its refreshed clothing range will be more "trendy" and will include catwalk-inspired citrus colours and nautical styles.
Florence Brudenell-Bruce, a model and girlfriend of Formula 1 driver Jenson Button, has also been brought on board to promote the new clothing deals.
"We are sexing up our brand," confirmed a spokesperson for John Lewis.
The retail firm recently reported healthy clothing sales for the second half of 2007, up 5.5 per cent on the same period in 2006.
As well as owning John Lewis, the John Lewis Partnership also manages the Waitrose and Greenbee brands.
