Marks & Spencer (M&S) has come top of a poll from business leaders for its clothes adverts, it has emerged.
The clips, which feature celebrities like '60s supermodel Twiggy and former Hear'Say singer and actress Myleene Klass, were the best around, according to the survey from New Brand Vision.
However, the Daily Mirror reports that it was not all plain sailing for the chain, with some mirth caused by its iconic food adverts.
Ben Harris, of the brands firm, said: "The food ads are so distinctive that there's lot of room for parody and people have taken the mickey."
There are over 760 M&S stores in over 30 countries worldwide, with over 500 in the UK alone.
M&S sells clothes, food, homeware, technology, entertainment, flowers and gifts.
The store's per una female clothing brand was launched in September 2001 as a joint venture with Next founder George Davis.
