Sanyo has unveiled its latest flagship digital projector, a replacement for the LP-Z2000.
With double the refresh rate of its predecessor, at 120Hz, and capable of projecting video at up to 60 frames per second the new LP-Z3000 is ideal for home cinema, Sanyo claims.
The new digital projector also has a contrast ratio of 65,000:1 and the lamp gives off 1,200 lumens of light.
It is also capable of producing an image from 40-inches up to 300-inches at the full high-definition (HD) resolution of 1,980 x 1,080-pixels.
According to gadget review site Gizmodo.com: "It ain't pretty and it's as big as a 1980's VCR but, if the specs on the new Sanyo LP-Z3000 HD projector are anything to go on, then you won't really care."
The website also claims that the super quite 19dB gives out far less noise than someone munching popcorn.
In related news, Sanyo has just released the next generation of its waterproof video camera, according to Market Watch.
