Gadget manufacturer Apple is expected to unveil a new range of laptops next week, it has been reported.
According to Reuters, the company's new devices will be cheaper than its current models, with the company expected to update its laptops with the latest chips at the very least.
However, the news provider claims Apple may unveil new designs at its Cupertino headquarters in California.
An invitation to the event, which is on October 14th, said: "The spotlight turns to notebooks."
Tim Bajarin, of Creative Strategies in California, told the news provider: "You won't know that until the day of the event."
"Clearly they have become more price conscious as they have become more competitive," he added.
Meanwhile, Apple has walked away from the T3 gadget awards with four accolades including Gadget of the Year and Best Music Gadget for its iPod Touch.
Apple also won awards in the Gadget Candy and Commuter Gadget categories.
