New zesty lemon flavour released by Kellogg's

Kellogg's is to launch a new zesty lemon flavour to its Special K Mini-Breaks snacks range.

Kellogg's has said it is confident the product will expand sales for the firm's most successful product launches for the year.

The Special K Zesty Lemon Mini Breaks will be made up of golden oats, wheat and rice and will be baked into thin biscuit-style snacks.

Kellogg's has pointed out the benefits of the bar for weight watchers, as they contain only 98 calories.

The brand intends to market the product through the use of free samples, advertising and vouchers, the company revealed.

"Strong innovations are the key to delivering Kellogg's ambition to grow our snacks business and we are confident this new product will help us reach our goal," said Jean Yves Heude, Kellogg's general manager of sales and snacks.

Business Week has reported Kellogg's saw its profit rise by almost four per cent during the second quarter of the year.
