Nintendo is set to launch its new digital distribution service in the UK on May 20th, after it was released in the US at the beginning of the week.
WiiWare will offer six games for download initially with one new title added every week from then on.
Users will be asked to give the downloaded games they play a review score. Nintendo will then publish the results.
WiiWare is set to compete with Microsoft's Xbox Live.
Games can be purchased from the WiiWare section of the Wii shop channel using Wii points.
The WiiWare downloadable launch games include Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life As A King, Defend your Castle and TV show King.
Meanwhile, Wii Fit is continuing to sell well - despite rumours of stock shortages - and is currently at number two in the games chart with Wii Play at number four and Mario Kart Wii at number five.
Wii products are available at Game and HMV.
