O2 customers are set to save money on their iPhone bills when the service provider launches its new price tariffs from February 1st.
Users on the current iPhone £55 monthly plan will see it cut to £45, while the lowest £35 tariff will have its texts and minutes trebled, to 600 minutes and 500 texts.
O2 UK marketing director Sally Cowdry said: "The iPhone is already our fastest-ever selling device and this added value will allow us to appeal to an even greater segment of the market - it is an unbeatable proposition."
A similar move was made soon after the US launch of the phone; the innovative iPhone was released in the UK in November.
However, while US customers were compensated with vouchers, their UK counterparts will not be, the BBC suggested.
The Business Times noted that the 18-month contract customers signed up to made the £269 phone cost a minimum of £899 over the term.
