Sony has aimed the new PC at people interested in video and image editing and the computer has a wireless keyboard and mouse, and full high-definition capabilities including a Blu-Ray drive which can both read and write.
The machine is powered by Intel's Core 2 Quad CPU, has a 512MB GeForce 9600M graphics card and comes with a terabyte of hard disk space.
Writing for zdnet.com, John Morris said: "[The] RT series have integrated power supplies so that they can be cleanly mounted on the wall, and come with a wireless keyboard and mouse."
The new Vaio RT will be available in October, although Sony has not yet confirmed the price of the machine.
