A three-year-old toddler travelled more than a mile to his nearest Safeway at three in the morning in search of a chocolate egg.
Max McGrath who was still in his pyjamas - slipped on his brothers shoes, picked up his pocket money and let himself out of his home with a house key while his parents were fast asleep.
Max was found by newspaper delivery driver James Brown, who stumbled across max peering through the window of his local Safeway.
Mr Brown said: "I approached him and he told me in a very matter-of-fact way that he was going to the shop.
"He told me that his family were at home asleep."
Max's family didn't suspect a thing until police turned up at the house with Mr Brown and their stray son.
