There are lots of hot deals and special offers to be snapped up at the beginning of the year when it comes to booking a honeymoon, it was advised today.
According to Francesca Moore, a spokesperson for wedding service Hitched.co.uk, January is always a popular time to plan honeymoons because lots of couples get engaged on Valentine's Day.
Various sales and packages become available at this time meaning there is "always something to look out for", she added.
Ms Moore also said many tailor-made travel agents can help to book initial flights and then secure other aspects of the holiday further down the line as and when they become available.
"To guarantee availability it's probably best to book about 11 months in advance
usually seats aren't available to book until a year before travel, so you can't book, say, 18 months in advance," she concluded.
The 2007 World Travel Awards recently named St Lucia as the best honeymoon destination across the globe.
