Using websites that supply voucher codes may be one way UK consumers can "survive the credit crunch", the Observer reported this weekend.
The newspaper featured the use of online voucher codes in a list of top 20 ways to save money when funds are tight.
It suggested sites such as myvouchercodes.co.uk as places for people to hunt for bargains at a range of retailers - such as discounted travel or money off digital cameras purchased at Comet.
Other money-saving suggestions in the list included switching to a loyalty-based credit card scheme, selling unwanted items on eBay for an extra cash boost and choosing to exercise outdoors or at home rather than pay for membership at a private gym.
Meanwhile, Fool.co.uk recently published a new list of current discounts and deals and suggested voucher codes and printable coupons for shops such as Greggs and Dixons.co.uk may be of interest to UK consumers this week.
