Nintendo's Wii Fit has debuted at number one on the UK's all-formats games chart, it has emerged.
Digital Spy reported today that the fitness-based game has bumped last week's number one game, Mario Kart Wii, into the number two spot.
Reports from the news source last week indicated that Wii Fit has created a "new games-buying frenzy", with more than one million pre-orders made before the game's official release at retailers such as HMV and Play.com.
Meanwhile, on the charts, Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Games slid from number two to number three, while Sony's Gran Turismo 5: Prologue charted at number four.
Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer slipped from number four last week to number five this week and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare rose to number six from number seven.
Sega's Superstar Tennis charted at number seven, while Dr Kawashima's Brain Training rose one position from number nine to number eight.
Finally, UEFA Euro 2008 charted at number nine, while Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 fell four places to number ten.
