This year has definitely been one of the strangest years on record for the fashion industry. People changed their smart casual office looks for a “lockdown style” and the industry heard the message loud and clear. Numerous research papers suggested that wearing good clothes while working from home can actually be quite beneficial for lifting your spirits. It comes as no surprise that some of the top hits of last fall remain popular this year as well. Think giant bags, belts on the coats and the blazers, brown and beige outwear. Top Colour Trends of Autumn/Winter 2020

Every year the experts from Pantone Institute announce the trendiest colours of the upcoming seasons. This year these they will be different shades of red, blue and gold. “Offering a rich narrative, the colour palette for Autumn/Winter 2020/2021 highlights our desire for versatile, timeless colour” said Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute. “Imbued with strength and personality, colours for Autumn/Winter 2020/2021 encourage our ongoing desire for unique self-expression through creative and unusual visual statements that stand out.” Here’s the full list:

Balloon sleeves

There’s only rule when it comes to sleeves this fall and that’s “Pump it up!”. We’ll see the Victorian-style puff sleeves trend everywhere this season – t-shirts, shirts, dresses and even blazers and jackets. This Marie Antoinette-inspired look is bold, impressive and unique. We first saw it on runway at the fashion shows of Moschino, Max Mara and Chanel and now is virtually everywhere.
