5 Student Cocktail Recipes To Make You Feel Festive

There is nothing quite like a festive drink to get you in the mood for Christmas. If you are planning on having a little party or just a casual Wednesday night, then these cocktails will be perfect! Check out these easy to make student cocktail recipes to get you started. Could be great for a pre night out drink!

 

Winter Sangria

Sangria is a delicious wine cocktail made famous from Spain. However, with drinks like mulled wine being a big thing over Christmas, why not make something to fit winter festivities?

You will need:

  • 1 bottle of red wine
  • 1 cup of brandy
  • 1 cup of pomegranate juice
  • 1 cup of freshly squeezed orange juice
  • Orange – to slice
  • Pomegranate seeds
  • 1 cinnamon stick

Simply get a large jug or pitcher and add the wine, brandy and juices. Ad the slices or orange, the pomegranate and the cinnamon stick. Once these are all in the jug, give it a stir and put in the fridge for at least 2-3 hours. Once out of the fridge, serve it in a glass of your choice with lots of ice. Delish!

Gingerbread Bellini

Well it wouldn’t be Christmas without something delicious and gingery no? Get your gingerbread fix with this delicious Bellini!

You will need;

  • 1 lemon
  • 1 tbsp ginger cordial
  • 50ml hazelnut liqueur
  • 350ml Prosecco
  • Mini gingerbread men

Get some champagne flutes (you will probably be able to buy some plastic ones at your local pound shop) and put them in the fridge for 15 minutes. Mix together the juice of 1 lemon, the ginger cordial and hazelnut liqueur into a jug. Pour the mixture into about ¾ of each glass. Top up the rest up with Prosecco! Add the mini gingerbread men to the side for decoration.

 

Clementine Bellini

Bellini’s are extremely adaptable and can have lots of different variations. This clementine Bellini ticks all of the boxes and is really easy for student cocktail recipes.

You will need;

  • A bag of clementines
  • 3tbsp of Grand Marnier or orange based liqueur
  • 1 bottle of Prosecco

Juice the clementine’s to make at least 300ml of juice. Mix with the Grand Marnier and pour into some chilled champagne flutes. Top up each glass with Prosecco.

 

Egg Nog Martini

Egg Nog is the epitome of American Christmas. Here is a festive alcoholic twist to make it really delicious.

You will need;

  • 3oz Egg Nog (non alcoholic)
  • 1 oz vanilla vodka
  • ½ oz of amaretto
  • Nutmeg and cinnamon sticks

Add the egg nog, vodka and amaretto together and shake. Chill the mixture til cool. Once it is cool, pour into your glasses and garnish with a sprinkle of nutmeg and a cinnamon stick.

Advocaat Cocktail

Advocaat is incredibly retro and perfect for simple student cocktail recipes!

You will need;

  • About 50ml of Advocaat
  • 25ml lime juice (about half a lime)
  • Lemonade
  • Ice

Put all of the ingredients together and give it a really good shake. Once it is all shaken then pour it into the glasses of your choice.
