More information about Herring Shoes
Herrings' is a family business which was started by Richard Herring in 1966. It was started with the aim of supplying the general public with top quality shoes. In recent years Herring’s customers have been able to take advantage of the own 'Herring' brand of footwear which is tailored to the present needs with fantastic style and value, created from years of inside knowledge of the handcrafted shoe trade.
History of Herring
Over the years Herring Shoes has been able to build close relationships with many of the Northampton manufactures operating directly with Mr. Andrew Loake, Mr. William Barker, Mr. Jonathan and Mr. William Church.
Adrian, the managing Director of Herring shoes, has worked in the Barker factory for some time to learn the true craftmanship of English handmade shoes in detail.
Through these contacts Herrings launched its own range of footwear made for public by Cheaney, Barkers, and Loake.
By working with Northampton factories, Herrings is using the best manufacturer for each style of shoe. The benefit of their knowledge and experience is passed on directly to the customer.
Products of Herring
The Herring range is made to the exact needs of the customers and by working directly with the factories to achieve unique styles. Sometimes existing stock models are used and improved by adding additional features, changing the sole units or by sourcing high quality leathers for its uppers.
On other occasions individual styles and designs are created which set them and their customer apart from the crowd.
Besides these interesting facts, the main aim of Herring Shoes is to offer outstanding quality and service to their customers by using their direct connections with the factories.
