How to use a discount code

How do I get a discount code?

You can get a discount code at MyVoucherCodes by exploring the discount codes highlighted on our homepage, searching for a retailer in our search bar, or exploring our category pages.

From there you can have a look through the different discount codes, deals and sales information available for your chosen retailer.

How do I use a discount code?

When looking at your chosen offer, you’ll notice it has a button highlighted in green. The wording here will read either ‘Get Code’, ‘Get Discount’ or ‘Get Reward’. Once you have clicked on one, a separate box will pop up. A new, separate tab will also open, bringing up the retailer’s website.

If you’ve selected ‘Get Code’, you’ll be prompted to copy the code that appears (so that it can be pasted later). When clicking on ‘Get Discount’, you won’t need a code and instead will be directed straight to the retailer's website. For ‘Get Reward’, you’ll need to have registered with us to gain access to exclusive benefits. Once you’ve done so, you can enter your email address in the pop-up and you’ll then be given your reward.

Now for the fun bit - start shopping and fill your basket with everything you’re looking to buy! Don’t forget to shop with your voucher code or specific discount in mind, as it will likely be focused on a particular item or spend threshold. Once you’re done, proceed to checkout.

Here, you’ll need to review your items (ensuring they are eligible for a discount) and then paste your discount code into the relevant box. If you’re using an offer that doesn’t require a code, then any savings should (in most cases) automatically be applied. Please note, that some retailers, such as travel and holiday companies, have their promo/discount code box located at various stages throughout the checkout process, so be sure to keep your eyes open for it along the way.

Typically, however, you’ll find the discount code box on the shopping basket page, or during the checkout process.

I’m trying to use a code from your website, but it won’t work. Why is this?

We make every effort to ensure that the codes and offers you see on our website work and are up to date. On odd occasions, you might find that an advertised code doesn't work when you try to make use of it. Retailers hold the right to end discount codes suddenly which can lead to expired discount codes appearing on our site.

I’m having trouble with my discount code, how do I contact you?

If you do find that a code you're trying to use doesn’t work, or you’re experiencing another issue with our site, then please feel free to get in touch. The best way to reach our friendly customer service team is by filling out our quick online contact form. For the best results, add your proof of purchase and give as much detail as possible. That way we can solve your problem quickly.

Am I able to use multiple codes at the same time?

Retailers don't tend to allow this, although some companies do grant customers the ability to ‘stack’ codes when shopping online. This is more common on product-specific items, and we always recommend reading the terms and conditions that your chosen retailer provides regarding discount codes and how they may or may not be used. It’s always worth giving it a go to see if you can get an additional discount as retailers like Argos and Domino’s occasionally offer this.

What are ‘unique codes’?

A number of our discount codes are generated uniquely when a user clicks to reveal the code. These types of codes come directly from retailers, and can only be used once. We’re only ever sent a set number of these codes, meaning every time somebody presses ‘Get Code’ it reduces the amount that is left. The number of codes available can be anywhere from a few hundred up to 100,000. Unfortunately, once they’re gone, they’re gone (unless the retailer supplies us with more).

It’s important to remember that as there is a limit on the number of these codes, they can often run out quickly - especially during busy seasonal sale events. Please also note, that unique codes for students or NHS staff can only be used if the relevant status verification steps have been satisfied.

It’s also worth noting that once you’ve used a unique discount code, you cannot use them again.

I’ve used one of MyVoucherCodes rewards offers, when can I claim it?

You can get your rewards voucher once the cancellation period of your purchase is over. This can lead to longer wait times if you’ve booked a holiday or a product with a long delivery time using a Rewards offer, as the sale has to be final for you to qualify for the voucher.

Must I register with MyVoucherCodes to receive rewards?

Yes, to earn rewards and make further savings with your favourite retailer, you’ll need to register with us. It’s free to sign up, and you’re able to unsubscribe at any time by accessing your account in the top right-hand side corner of our website.

Please note, that this only refers to offers with the ‘Get Reward’ prompt. Student and NHS discount codes aside (which require digital verification), all other offers do not require an email address to proceed.
