When it comes to Halloween traditions, the research found that the majority of people still get involved in trick-or-treating, with 58% saying they welcome trick or treaters at their doors. However, 38% admitted they don’t answer the door when they come around.
Commenting on the findings, Sarah-Jane Outten, money-saving expert at MyVoucherCodes, said:
“It’s fascinating to see such a significant jump in Halloween spending this year. It shows that people are really embracing the season, whether through bigger parties, elaborate costumes, or themed decorations. But with rising costs across the board, it’s more important than ever to spend smart and look for savings wherever possible.
Whether you're throwing a haunted house party, going trick-or-treating, or just enjoying spooky snacks with family, Halloween 2025 is set to be bigger, bolder, and costlier than ever, but with the right savings strategies, it doesn't have to break the bank"
