The best hot cross buns are back at M&S with three new, delicious flavours
They're the ultimate Easter sweet treat.
From picky bits to sweet treats, we all know that Marks & Spencer has some of the best food on the market. And seasonal celebrations and holidays are certainly where they shine most.
With spring right around the corner, M&S has started releasing its highly anticipated Easter treats, and today, we’re talking hot cross buns.
Last year, shoppers were obsessing over their range of ooey-gooey, luxurious hot cross buns - and now, the wait is over. With their mouth-watering collection now available in stores, if you didn’t get to try them last year, now is your chance.
Marks and Spencer's has been making their signature hot cross buns as far back as 1975, so it’s no wonder how well they’ve perfected their recipes.
In fact, they sell a whopping 1.1 million packs of buns every year, and we’re not surprised, considering the delicious flavour combinations. Last year, they offered everything from the luxury fruit recipe, to extremely cheese, and extremely chocolate. And now, we’ve got three brand new, indulgent flavours.
M&S new hot cross bun flavours
First up are the red velvet filled hot cross buns. Inspired by the classic red velvet bake, these buns are filled with white chocolate and dark chocolate chips. And of course, they are gorgeously red in colour.
Calling all those who eat gluten-free - something is exciting in store for you. This year, the apple and brown sugar hot cross buns are wheat and gluten-free, and sound heavenly. With each bun made with a sweet, apple and spice flavour, and filled with fruit, they’re the perfect refreshing treat for Spring.
Finally, the flavour I’m most excited about is the Tiramisu hot cross buns. All fellow coffee lovers - don’t wait around. These are filled with a thick, creamy mascarpone and Belgian chocolate chips, which are sure to be delectable with the coffee flavour.
Whatever takes your fancy, we anticipate these to sell quickly, just as they have in previous years, so don’t wait around. I, for one, will be popping down to my local M&S the very next chance I get.

When I’m not writing about saving money on homely purchases, I’m either sitting with my head in a new book, painting a piece of art for my walls, or binge-watching an interior design programme on Netflix. I love to get inspiration and transform my space, usually with the help of a few Pinterest boards and a couple of tins of paint.
