Hobbycraft launches a Freeview TV shopping channel as demand for arts and crafts video tutorials rises
After closures across the country, Hobbycraft is set to launch an exciting new shopping channel.

Lovers of arts and crafts will be happy to know that Hobbycraft has finally confirmed the launch of their new Freeview TV shopping channel jam packed with handy crafting tutorials.
After nine stores were set to close in summer 2025, with more potential closures in late 2025, the crafting brand has reassured its customers that it was a tough decision, but that exciting things are coming.
Alex Willson, Chief Exectuive at Hobbycraft says that ‘the launch of Hobbycraft TV marks an exciting chapter for the business,’ and we’re certainly intrigued.
Willson states that the shopping channel itself will ‘offer a seamless shoppable experience with daily demonstrations, expert guidance, and creative content, all designed to inspire, educate and connect with both new audiences and our existing crafting community.’
If you’re keen to find out more about this, then you’ll be pleased to know that Hobbycraft TV is scheduled to go live on Freeview channel 97 from 7:30am on 4th September this year.
What’s more, previous episodes will be available to stream on the business’s YouTube page, if you’d like to get a sneak peek of the kind of things you can expect from the official channel after its launch in September.
So, while customers might lose their local Hobbycraft stores on the high street, they will still be able to get their craft on with their exciting new TV channel.

I’m Layla, the home and garden editor, and I started working at MyVoucherCodes in November 2022. I have always loved to write, especially after getting my degree in English Literature and Creative Writing, and since getting my own place, I’ve gotten stuck into all things home and garden.
When I’m not writing about saving money on homely purchases, I’m either sitting with my head in a new book, painting a piece of art for my walls, or binge-watching an interior design programme on Netflix. I love to get inspiration and transform my space, usually with the help of a few Pinterest boards and a couple of tins of paint.
