If you visit Greggs regularly, the Greggs App is worth having. Scan a code to collect stamps, get a free welcome drink when you sign up, enjoy a birthday treat each year, and skip queues with Click & Collect. This guide explains how it all works and answers the questions people actually search for.
What the Greggs App does
- Collect stamps and unlock rewards: buy in a category, earn a stamp in that category. Collect nine stamps, and the tenth item in that category is free.
- Freebies: a free regular hot or iced drink on sign-up (iced drinks are available in selected shops), plus a birthday sweet treat in your wallet each year.
- Click & Collect: order ahead in the app and pick up at a time that suits you.
- Greggs Wallet: hold a balance, store a payment method, and enable optional auto top-up for faster checkout.
How stamps and rewards work
Open the app, go to your Wallet, and show the QR code when you pay. Stamps add themselves automatically. When you hit nine stamps in a category, your free item unlocks for that category. Stamp-earned free items currently expire 31 days after they’re added to your Wallet, so check the date before you visit. You can also earn stamps when you place a Click & Collect order while signed in.
Welcome drink and birthday treat
New users receive a free regular hot or iced drink in their Wallet after signing up (iced drinks are available in select shops). Around your birthday, a free sweet treat appears as well. Both rewards show an expiry in the app, so redeem them before the date shown.
QR code and mobile signal
Load your QR code before you reach the till. It needs a mobile signal the first time to load, but once it has loaded it will continue to scan even if your phone has no connection. If it won’t refresh, tap to generate a new code on the scan screen.
Click & Collect in brief
Choose your shop, pick a five-minute collection slot, order what you want, and collect at the counter. It helps you avoid queues, and your stamps still count because the order is linked to your account.
Greggs Wallet and auto top-up
The Wallet lets you hold a balance and store a payment method for quick payment. Auto top-up is optional. If your Wallet balance is short in-shop, you can part-pay with the Wallet and finish the rest by card. (Part-pay isn’t available on Click & Collect.)
Delivery Apps
Rewards do not currently apply to orders placed through Just Eat or Uber Eats. To earn stamps and redeem rewards, scan in-shop or use Click & Collect in the Greggs App.
Choosing when to spend a reward
In your Wallet, there’s a simple toggle next to each reward. Turn it on to redeem the reward now, or leave it off to save it for later. It’s best to set the toggle when you have a good internet connection.
Where to download the Greggs App
Search “Greggs” in the App Store on iPhone or Google Play on Android, install, register, and you’re good to go.
How to add your Greggs card to Apple Wallet
Greggs loyalty cards cannot be added to Apple Wallet or Apple Pay since they are not supported. Instead, you should launch the Greggs app on your iPhone and use the QR code created by the app to claim rewards and earn stamps in the store.
Are there student app-only offers?
Greggs runs student promotions from time to time via Student Beans. Terms vary by offer: many student deals exclude Click & Collect and delivery, but some specific Student Beans codes can be added to your Wallet and redeemed in-shop or via Click & Collect. Always check the live terms on the Student Beans page and in the app Wallet before you go.
