Samsung has recently launched its 2025 line-up of Neo QLED and OLED TVs, all featuring the company's new Vision AI technology. The range covers screen sizes from 43 inches to 100 inches.

Vision AI utilises built-in artificial intelligence to optimise picture and sound in real-time, recognising over a million different scenarios to fine-tune detail, brightness, and clarity.

However, there's no avoiding the high price tag. The flagship NEO QLED 8K model is currently listed at well over £ 4,000, with mid-range 4K models still in the four-figure range.

Comparable premium TVs from rival brands can be found for several hundred pounds less. Luckily, you can recycle your old TV for up to £250 off if you buy through Samsung themselves.

While Samsung's Vision AI sets are the newest on the shelf, early adopters usually pay a premium. The best value often comes a few months after launch or around Black Friday/January sales, when retailers clear stock of current and previous-year models.

Our previous research and 2024 data from Adobe indicate that TVs are among the products that experience some of the deepest seasonal discounts. The best time to purchase a new TV remains when new models are released, typically between February and April, with record highs for televisions at a 24.2% discount.

For those looking to upgrade in time for autumn's big sporting events, the new Vision AI range offers cutting-edge performance. However, if your current TV still works well, holding off could mean huge savings.
