With Air Bnb accommodation, you can travel all over the world and have a different experience compared to a stay at a hotel. It allows you to be in the hub of an area and see what it is like from the comfort of someone’s home. It means that you get to chill out as if the place was your own!
Simply type in where you want to visit (the world is your oyster) and then choose the dates you want to go and how many people there will be.
Once Airbnb have selected what is on offer in the area, then it really gets interesting! Scroll through what is coming up in the area. It is good to check whether you are looking for a private room or the entire home. An entire home is much better for a city trip as it allows you the chance to relax.
If you have found an apartment or house that you want to book, then you have two potential ways to do this. Request to book means you send over your trip details to the host and they will approve it. A lot of places will have an instant booking which will be the quickest and easiest way to book your trip!
A check list will let you know what is provided in your Airbnb accommodation. Things such as Wifi and a TV are usually standard. You have the option to message the host before to check if there are things such as a hair dryer, towels or an iron.
The great thing about Airbnb accommodation is it feels less touristy. If you meet your host before, it is likely they will give you some advice of what to visit, where to eat and drink and a guide to how much things may cost.
Trips to cities across the world can be incredible! City breaks can give you an injection of culture as well as trying great food, drink and experiences! As flights are becoming more and more reasonable with the rise of the budget airlines, you can get over to a city, especially within Europe, for next to nothing! Throw in a reasonably priced Airbnb for a few days and you have yourself a cheap as chips trip to a city!
Not sure on where to go? Well, check out the Airbnb City Guide to get stuck into. One of the most popular cities to look at is Copenhagen. The most populated city in Denmark is the hub for culture, fashion and interior décor style. It is near to Sweden, as the train from the airport takes you there!
Great places to check out include Tivoli Gardens, an amusement park that is for all ages and looks incredible when it is lit up of an evening. Food is delicious and there is a real range! The Meat Packing District is similar to the prospect of the one in New York. Its industrial appearance makes it look quirky and neo-modern and the mixture of restaurants and food they have on offer, whether it’s Italian food and stone baked pizzas at mother, juicy burgers at Tommi’s Burger Joint or beer and BBQ at War Pigs. There is also a street food market within the Meat Packing District with a selection of fantastic food trucks to pick from.
The iconic coloured buildings of Nyhavn are a must see and a fabulous photograph opportunity. If you walk a little further down then you will find The Little Mermaid statue. It is based on the fairy tale of the same name which was originally written by Hans Christian Andersen. It has been a major tourist attraction since 1913. Make sure to check out one of the many museums across the Capital, like the Open Air Museum or the Carlsberg factory.
Try some delicacies for the area such as a Smørrebrød, which consists of a buttered piece of bread (usually rye bread) topped with cold cuts, such as fish, cheese, meat or spreads.
