Megabus Booking FAQs
Can I make a change to my booking?
Yes, you can. You have up to 24 hours before you travel to make any alterations, and this can be done online via the ‘Change Trip’ section of the Megabus website. You’ll need to have your order number ready, and follow the necessary on-screen steps. It costs £3.25 to change a booking.
Can I cancel and get a refund?
Unfortunately, once a ticket has been booked it cannot be refunded. If you’d like to change the date, time or location of the journey then you can do (please refer to the above answer for more information).
Are there any booking fees?
Yes, there are. Currently, there is a £1.00 booking fee for each Megabus booking (this rate is cheaper than booking with third parties).

What happens if I miss my bus?
If you miss your departure, you will not be entitled to a refund and (should you still wish to travel) will be required to purchase a new ticket.

Megabus offer a 10% student discount! To qualify for this saving, you’ll need to register your student status with TOTUM (you’ll need to bring your TOTUM card with you on journeys too, as proof of status).
On the majority of journeys, children aged between 4 and 14 can now get 10% off journeys! You’ll get free Wi-Fi on all journeys and extra legroom as standard. You can also reserve your seat ahead of time, all free of charge.
