Here are some homemade masks to get your face looking like perfection in no time without breaking the bank.

P.S.  It’s possible that you could have an allergic reaction to one or more ingredients. Cocoa & Avocado – for express hydration

Try this cocoa mask if you urgently need hydrated and smooth skin. Avocado is an excellent moisturiser, while the cocoa is an antioxidant and the honey has antibacterial characteristics.

What you need:

– ¼ avocado

– 1 tablespoon cocoa powder

– 1 tablespoon honey

Mix everything in a bowl and apply the mask to a clean and dry skin for 10-15 minutes. Wash off and continue with your normal beauty routine.

Banana – for a natural glow

Bananas are known for giving the skin a natural and healthy glow when you need it the most. If you feel like your face skin feels exhausted, this could be the perfect boost it needs.

What you need:

– ½ banana

– 1 tablespoon of orange juice

– 1 tablespoon of honey

Mix everything in a bowl and apply the mask to a clean and dry skin for 15-20 minutes. Wash off and continue with your normal beauty routine.

What you need:

– ¼  cup plain yoghurt

– 2 tablespoons honey 

– 1 medium banana

Mix everything in a bowl (pulps are fine) and apply the mask to a clean and dry skin for 15-20 minutes. Wash off and continue with your normal beauty routine.

If you’re looking for a quick and effective way to minimise your pores (makes it perfect for all these video chats and meetings too!), give a try to some DIY face masks recipes with egg whites and lemon juice – it will tighten your skin and prep your face for your usual beauty & make up routine. Here’s a suggestion.

What you need:

– 1 egg white

– 1 tablespoon of honey

– A little squeeze of lemon juice

Mix everything and leave it on your face for at least 15 minutes before rinsing it off.

Peaches are excellent source of vitamin C and help boost the collagen and elasticity of your skin, while the yoghurt brightens your face. The almond milk is good for hydration and softening the skin while cinnamon is known to increase circulation.

What you need:

– ½ cup almond milk

– ½ cup plain Greek yogurt

– 2 ripe peaches sliced, pit removed

– ¼ tablespoon cinnamon

Put everything in a blender and blend at high speed for 1-2 minutes until you get a smooth liquid. Apply the mask to a clean and dry skin for 15-20 minutes. Wash off and continue with your normal beauty routine.

Apple & Honey Face Scrub – for exfoliation

This scrub uses honey to nourish and moisturize your skin and is perfect for oily skin prone to acne. Apples have natural fruit acids and enzymes are perfect for exfoliation.

What you need:

– 1 ripe apple, peeled and pitted

– ½ tablespoon raw organic honey

– ½ tablespoon jojoba oil

Blend the apple and gently warm the honey so it’s easier to mix. Mix all ingredients in a bowl. Apply and massage your face for 1-2 minutes and then leave it on your skin for 10 minutes Rinse clean with lukewarm water.
