Offers for PC World were last updated
The first PC World store was opening in Croydon in 1991. The company started small but by 1993 it had four stores. The company continued to grow mainly thanks to a series of smart acquisitions. PC World went on to have stores in France, Italy and Ireland – most recently the company started to dual brand stores with Currys, forming the store name Currys PC World. Although most stores are now called Currys PC World, the website is still PCWorld.co.uk.
The use of personal computers has declined dramatically over the last ten years – the increased popularity of laptops was the initial cause for decline in popularity, however over recent times the smartphone and tablet computer have both added to the PC’s misery. As a company PCWorld.co.uk has adapted in order to remain competitive – nowadays PCWorld.co.uk carries a relatively small range of personal computers. You’ll find an impressive selection of electronics on the PC World website now including smartphones, tablet computers, headphones and other electronic items. A large number of branded items can be purchased from the company including products manufactured by Apple, Samsung and Sony.
When it comes to buying a new computer, you have the choice of a desktop PC or a laptop. The latter are lighter and easier to carry around, but PC’s pack more power and typically turn in a better performance.
So what should you look for when deciding to buy a desktop computer or a portable laptop? Here is a list of five things you need to consider when deciding which way to go.
We all love a good bargain when shopping online, there’s no need to fork out more money than is necessary. Because the majority of the items found on the PC World website are relatively expensive, even a small discount can lead to large monetary savings. Here is a small selection of the best codes and deals that we have available for you to use:
Before you can redeem a voucher code on the website, you must first find a code that you’d like to use. Browse the selection of voucher codes we have available at the top of this page – when you’ve found a code to use, just press the green button next to it that says “Get Voucher & Open Site”. You should see a new window appear – in this window is the voucher code that you’ll need to enter. You can copy and paste the code or jot it down and type it in on checkout, it’s up to you! Press the green button to proceed.
On the website you can browse the range of products by category, or if you know exactly what you want to purchase, just search for it by entering a search phrase in the bar at the top of your page. Once you’ve found an item you’d like to purchase, just press the green button on the product page that says “Add to basket”. Click the basket button at the top right of your screen when you’re ready to complete your purchase – you should see the item(s) you added to your basket on the screen. Ensure everything is correct before pressing the green “Proceed to checkout” button. On this screen you can select between having your item delivered, or picking the item up in your local store. Remember if you’re reserving your item for store pick-up, you may not be able to redeem your voucher code. If purchasing a computer or tablet device, you may be prompted to select an extended warranty option from the drop down menu on this page before you can proceed.
On the next page you’re prompted to enter your PCWorld.co.uk account information – if you don’t have an account already just enter your email address in the box on the right hand side of the page. Creating a new account only takes a couple of minutes. You’ll need to enter your first name and surname, along with a password. You’ll also have to setup your address information and enter a telephone number. Pay particular attention to the marketing preferences settings at the bottom of the page if you’re not keen on receiving newsletters from PCWorld.
The next page prompts you to configure the shipping settings for your order. You can opt for a free delivery service or pay a premium for a faster, named-day service. The next page is titled “Order summary” – there’s a field called “Do you have a voucher code?”. Enter the code from earlier on in this field and press “Apply”. That’s all there is to it – if your code is still valid the order total will adjust automatically. To continue with your purchase just enter your billing information and complete the checkout process, you should then see an order confirmation page.
Here at MyVoucherCodes.co.uk we also carry a number of exclusive deals and special offers. If you want to take advantage of one of these deals or offers that doesn’t require a voucher code to redeem, just press the “Click to Get this Offer” button here on our website – we’ll redirect you to the appropriate offer page on the PCWorld.co.uk website.
There is no application out there to help you browse the selection of products available at PCWorld.co.uk at the moment. That said the website is optimised for viewing on mobile devices, so you can be sure that you’ll encounter a pleasant, seamless browsing experience when you logon to the site via mobile phone or tablet computer.
At MyVoucherCodes.co.uk we’ve got a new application available for Apple iOS and Google Android devices. It’s completely free of charge for you to download and it can help to save you a lot of money.
