Dad’s Worth a Tenner More This Year – And We’ve Got the Gift Guide to Prove it!
A recent survey from MyVoucherCodes revealed that we are splashing out almost £10 more on Father’s Day (£54.06) than Mother’s Day (£44.80)!

A recent survey from MyVoucherCodes revealed that we are splashing out almost £10 more on Father’s Day (£54.06) than Mother’s Day (£44.80)!
Even though people said that if money were no object, they would love to treat their dads to a holiday home (28%), home improvements (25%) or a UK property (24%), most of us just don’t have that kind of money.
With this in mind, we’ve reviewed some fantastic gifts, all under £50, that you may not have considered. This fun and quirky gift guide will make Father’s Day 2025 one to remember, making that extra tenner worth every penny.
The best day out gift
The survey data revealed that 20% of Dads would love a day out. And the good news is that it doesn’t have to be as expensive as it sounds. A picnic with Dad's favourite foods or a budget trip to the cinema would be a great shout. Or maybe something a little more unusual? Find Me a Gift *provides super affordable experience days, from paintballing starting at just £19 to a steam engine experience from £29.
The best tech gift
When it came to tech, 19% of Dads said this was their preferred gift. Whenever I hear the word ‘tech’, I assume it’s going to be expensive! But that doesn’t have to be the case. Whether Dad loves watching a film, the footie or following tutorials on YouTube, this Picco USB Mini Pocket Projector from Mankind is a fantastic buy, and it’s only £49
The best keepsake gift
When it feels like Dad has everything, you have to think outside of the box. And that’s where Skylit Studios is the answer. These precise star maps are based on real celestial data, of which you can customise to a time and date of your choice. I chose the date and time of our son's birth as an extra special gift. I was then able to customise every feature of the print, from how the constellations appear on the print to the size and colour of the frame. The delivery was quick and the quality was superb. And it came in under budget at £47.98, which was for a framed 30cm x 40cm print.
The best self-care gift
The dads in my family don’t prioritise self-care, but it’s important to take a little time out. Whether your dad finds time to chill out or just needs to add a touch of luxury to his environment, the Vintage Bookshop Scented Candle from Ralph's Orchard does the trick. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been disappointed by the fragrance of a candle, so many just don’t deliver when lit. But this candle was incredible, it’s a heady and nostalgic blend of cashmere, leather, sandalwood, amber, vanilla and ginger. It makes the room feel as though you have just wandered into an old bookshop or library - it’s simply delicious! I love that these candles are handmade in the UK, vegan and eco-friendly. A great affordable gift at just £16.00.
The best edible gift
Most dads love a sweet treat, so it was only right that I did some personal research! That’s when I discovered Willow and Finch gourmet cookies. I tried the 6 Gourmet Cookie selection, it was delivered straight to my door in beautiful luxury packaging. This selection is perfect for Father’s Day, as you can include a personal message at no extra cost. There are various flavours to choose from, however, white chocolate and raspberry and chocolate orange were personal favourites. This box of divine treats is £26.99
The best practical gift
Every dad loves to add a practical tool to his arsenal. And this handy pocket-sized is a must for all glasses-wearing dads. The Snapit Screw Eyeglasses Repair Kit comes in handy for all those sudden glasses repairs, so dad doesn’t need to rush off to the opticians. I tried this kit on a pair of broken sunglasses, and it took me minutes to fix them. This tiny kit comes with a tiny price tag too, just £4.99 - ideal for little ones with a small budget.
The best homeware gift
There’s no mistaking that Cornishware is an iconic British staple in kitchens far and wide. So, what better way to surprise Dad with a Father’s Day breakfast on a personalised plate as iconic as him? The ‘Picture on a Plate’ service allows you to add a handprint or a child's drawing to the plate. It’s a very cute way of immortalising one of those little drawings that’s normally kept on the fridge until the corners curl. Just make sure you place your order by the 8th of June, so Cornishware have time to work their magic. I’d say that’s £20.00 well spent!
