Can I add an additional driver?
Yes, you can. They must meet the standard rental requirements (age and valid license holder etc), and fees may apply depending on the location of your pick-up.
What is the minimum age to rent with Hertz?
To rent a car with Hertz in the UK, you must be 25 years old and have held a valid license for at least one year.
How much deposit do I need to pay?
There is not a set amount for a holding deposit, as this will be calculated based on the vehicle you are renting and other factors such as fuel and optional extras. The exact amount will be disclosed upon collection.
What happens if I return a car late?
If you return a car late to Hertz, you may incur an additional day's rent. It is always best to call ahead should you know you’ll be running late so that the team are aware.
Hertz Cancellation FAQs
Does Hertz charge if I cancel my booking?
If you opt to cancel your booking no later than two days before the date of your scheduled pick-up, you will be refunded fully. If you cancel after this period, however, you will be charged £30.00.
Will the rental price change if I alter my Hertz booking?
Yes, it will. It all depends on the alterations made (and on the cars and rates available at that time); which will result in the overall price being higher or lower than what you originally paid. You will be notified of any charges or refunds payable.
