Work out whether Executive membership pays for itself
Executive membership costs £84 a year, £42 more than Gold Star. In return you get 2% back on eligible purchases as a reward, up to an annual limit. That means you’d need to spend roughly £2,100 a year on eligible purchases just to cover the extra £42. Not every purchase earns the reward, so check Costco’s exclusions before you upgrade.

Remember your membership fee is refundable
Costco will cancel your membership and refund the fee in full at any time if you’re not satisfied. If you’re not sure bulk buying suits your household, you can give it a go without losing the money.

Ask for a price adjustment if something goes on offer
If an item you’ve bought goes on promotion, you can ask Costco for a price adjustment. You must ask while the promotion is still running and the item is still in stock, so it pays to check the offers again shortly after a big purchase.

Compare online and warehouse prices

What if my discount code doesn't work?

If your Costco code won’t apply, check these first:

Is your membership active? If it has expired, renew it before you check out.

Is the code for online orders? Some Costco offers are warehouse-only, and some codes only work on costco.co.uk.

Does your basket meet the terms? Look for a minimum spend, specific products or a particular membership type.

Has it expired? Check the end date shown with the offer.
