'Time To Film' is brought to you by MyVoucherCodes to showcase research into the time taken to film some of Hollywood's biggest hits.
For each film we studied the total time elapsed between the first day of principal photography and the final day of shooting (including reshoots and pick-up filming).
On the whole, this was available from IMDb, but for a full list of sources, you can click here.
For the audience score, we simply took the ‘Audience Score’ from Rotten Tomatoes and for critic score, we took the ‘Average Rating’ from Rotten Tomatoes which we multiplied by 100 to allow for comparison with the audience score.
To establish box office takings, we studied the domestic lifetime gross of a film, adjusted for inflation, including any re-releases, from Box Office Mojo, which provides an inflation-adjusted total.
And for the number of ‘Awards Won,’ we simply took the number of awards that the film is listed as having won on IMDb.
